Big Dreams, With Low Expectations

going-to-canada
Carol writes:

This is today’s work from one of my second graders.

She writes: “I am going to Canada and go to McDonald’s. I’m going to go to Walmart and buy fancy clothes”

Maybe Canadian Walmarts are better???

I had to give her a GREAT because… well, she has the idea that Walmart is good.

  3. The Canadian Wal-marts are exactly the same as American ones except the restrooms are called “Washrooms”.

Wheres this kid from anyway that Canadian Wal-marts are a child’s idea of adventure? Cleveland? Detroit? West Virginia?

  5. And since when is reinforcing the idea that Walmart is “good” something that should be encouraged? You are an epic fail as a teacher in every possible sense of the word.
