  1. OMFG! Who DOES this kinda shit? The parents should be SHOT! Hey, maybe one of the little girls will do it one day!

  2. Nancy on October 22nd, 2011
  3. As long as the little girls are being taught firearms safety, there’s nothing wrong here.

  4. lordofthegadflies on October 23rd, 2011
  5. If my children were Catholic I let them have the guns to protect them from those perv priest.

  7. looks like dad’s raising the girls right. This is the picture you show the first boyfriend of theirs you meet. Be sure to mention those are your guns and you still have them. @ nancy…take a pill, ALL children should be taught how to properly use and handle firearms…early. They are a tool, like any other thing in life…welcome to America, land of the free because of the brave…and private gun ownership.

  9. Hell yeah! They are raising their kids right. Gun Safety is a GOOD practice.

  11. That’s a heck of a scope on that AR.
And good on the folks for teaching the kids to shoot.

  21. I see nothing wrong with the girls holding the guns, but them are some big guns what exactly are they (parents) hunting elephants, just saying

  23. Nothing wrong with this- fingers away from the triggers, good muzzle control. Nothing beats girls with guns.

  25. Actually GinaT they just look big. Chambering is likely very standard. Starting from left to right, left is a pump shotgun, most likely a 12 gauge. Very, very standard and not overly large. Used to hunt everything from rabbit, ducks, turkey, deer, etc.

The second is likely chambered in 9mm. That is a very marginal handgun round. Most people carry .38spcl before they consider a 9mm. 9mm is a light/ medium handgun round that is typically chambered in Semi-Auto handguns. Its very cheap to shoot but is greatly lacking in energy when compared to .45acp, .327mag, .357mag, .44mag, and even the .38spcl.

Third and final with the large scope, .223 (or possibly .308, 7.62 nato). Very standard round. .223 is a great round for coyote and smaller animals but is considered too small to hunt medium game. The large scope is typical for long range varmint shooting (think prairie dog) and in no way makes the rifle more powerful. If the rifle is .308 (hard to tell by the clip as both rounds are short action) then the largest game hunted would be deer to elk.

None of these rounds are large or extravagant. All of the ammo required can easily be bought at the local Wal-Mart.

Im not a fan of military style fire-arms. Im not saying they should be outlawed by any stretch of the imagination. I have custom rifles that overpower and out range pretty much any assault rifle. I’m simply just not a fan. However, its been spoon fed by the liberal media that assault rifles are deadlier than any other fire arm…. bull. They are cheaper and have cheaper ammo. That’s it. Ban them and watch as crimes continue with illegal guns and or the theft and use of legal guns. Crime is crime and any passed laws will not hold jurisdiction over criminals. They already ignore the common law.

Not calling anyone out…. just trying to educate.

  33. As long as there aren’t any bullets in the clip or in the chamber and maybe the safety being on… I see no issue with it. Although I believe they should be a little older before practicing with any weaponry. But then again, I’m not their parent. Although if the Zombie-pocolypse was coming, I’d want the one on the left.

  47. actually julyguy, that last weapon on the right is an ar-15 which is just a civilian version of the m-16 (no burst fire option)

these rifles can be modified to accept different ammunition, but they come using 5.56 rounds, modification would be an unnecessary expense so it is likely 5.56.

and the 7.62 round……it could have been modified to accept this but again that is unnecessary and would incur additional expense. the 7.62 is a bit larger than 5.56 round, 7.62 is what ak47s use.

  51. i see nothing wrong with this pic, nor anything wrong with this pics ‘sequel’
my cousins are now 13 10 and 8…or thereabouts, theyve all been using guns since they were wee little things and are crack shots and practice excellent gun safety and they all own more than one gun
my own brothers are 13 and have their own shotguns and a shared .22

they are crack shots and practice excellent gun safety

ive been the owner of a gun since i was 14 and have been shooting bow and gun since i was 9
if a child is EDUCATED about something like this and the parents continually monitor/test their safety/knowledge and monitor the use of weapons theres nothing wrong with it

i dont want to go on rampages killing people, the thought doesnt even cross my mind, ive never had a near miss with a gun, im not some ignorant redneck or ‘street’ person.

guns dont kill people…theyre inanimate objects
    people kill people using guns
    people kill people using knives
people kill people using fucking ballpoint pens for crying out loud…we gonna ban pens and pencils because they can be used to kill someone?

  53. ar mag looks standard. i would guess it’s .223 or 5.56. there is a difference. there’s no flash suppressor or bayonet lug so it’s either from the a.w. ban years or one of those states that think drive by bayonettings are an issue.

  54. brandon Brooks on December 20th, 2011
  55. They seem to have good muzzle direction, with fingers safely outside the trigger-guards.

    Someone is teaching them well.

I say good on ‘em. Nice photo.

  57. My son learned to shoot a shotgun at age 10. He practices at the trap range with other kids his age. My daughter shoots .22 rifles, and punches holes in paper at 50 yards. She also uses a compound bow to hunt with me.

I must be an evil parent.
