As a beekeeper, this is not fake, he removed the bees from a tree (so the scent will not attract another colony) and had the kid stand next to him. It’s safe, the bees are clustered on the branch, people can be so scared of bees, they will NOT hurt you if you are calm and the weather is good.
We have our kids help with bee removals all the time, starting around 6 years old, they do have a suit if the situation calls for it but most of the time removals are done with just a veil. Yes, we get stung but not very many and the kids usually don’t get stung.

I am deathly allergic to stings and last summer I was just sitting doing nothing outside when a bee landed on my hand and stung me. Since I am allergic I almost died.
Point of story is yes they will hurt people, especially at certain times of the year when all the fruit has fallen and the bees are drunk off the fruit.
