Yesterday George Zimmerman was arrested and is to be charged with second degree murder in the shooting of 17 year old Trayvon Martin. The video above shows Trayvon’s parents Sybrina Fulton and Tracy Martin’s response to the new charges being laid, as well as an interview to find out how they’re feeling about the whole situation. We want to know what you think; Is Zimmerman guilty of second degree murder, a charge that carries a minimum sentence of 25 years to life? GRANDMA PERFORMS “HOLLYWOOD” WITH THIN LIZZY
Kind of a strange one for TheProudParents.com, but it warmed our hearts so we wanted to share.
In 1982, a woman named May Booker sent a letter to the BBC saying that she loved Thin Lizzy, and wanted to play with them live. Because Thin Lizzy frontman Phil Lynott was raised by his own grandmother, he allowed Booker to play backing synths on the band’s performance of “Hollywood”, live on BBC. The performance was pre-recorded, but Booker looks incredibly happy fake-rocking the shit out of a crowd.
