Is this 12 year old too young for gauges? What do you think?

   As someone with body modifications, I can say this kid is way too young. I got all of my pericings and tattoos as an adult who can comprehend the ramifications that my mods will have on my life. This is just irresponsible parenting.

   Hummm…many parents get the ears of their daughters pierced while they are still infants. So, while this seems more unusual to us in our culture, the concept is basically the same. I wouldn’t encourage a child to do it simply because it is creating a technical disfigurement and he isn’t nearly done growing yet, so it’s probably best to leave that until after the body is fully grown.

   I agree with you, Hap.

   But whose to say they aren’t actually older? I mean some people look younger than they are and others look older. However, this is a bad angle and it’s hard to say their body isn’t fully grown or not.

   there are kids at my childrens school as young as 9 with stretched ears, even though i have stretched ears myself (and a job i love btw) my kids don’t like it and even if they did they know, not till they’re 18

   Yeah can anyone tell me the reason behind having this crap done as an adult let alone a child? I know for a fact that they are smelly when you take the plugs or whatever they are out and they are so unattractive. Good idea being 65 or 70 with long droopy, smelly ears.

    First of all, gauge is a unit of measurement. They’re called plugs! And yes, he is too young. His body is still growing, plus he isn’t old enough to understand the ramifications that these will have on him and his body. I have plugs myself but I didn’t start stretching my lobes until I was 20.

    Too young and it should be illegal at any age, fucking disgusting looking shit, idiots who do this to themselves need to be shot, obviously don’t expect to live to an old age or something cos they aren’t thinking of how worse it will look when their earlobes are hanging down to their ankles etc..
