HALO PARENT

Much like the WoW Parent, this Proud Father has found a way to minimize parenting time so that he can maximum gaming time. Can’t blame a guy for being efficient.. oh wait, yes we can. To be honest though, this is quite adorable.

  1. After seeing some of those other shocking photos this is pretty tame. I don’t see anything wrong with the dad doing this either! So much better him holding the baby instead of putting them in a bouncy or swing! (so what if he is playing a game..would it make it better if he was watching TV or sleeping himself?)

  3. I see nothing wrong with this. The baby is small and laying on his chest. Little ones love to cuddle, makes them feel safe. The baby is obviously asleep, so why should he not play a game or something? This certainly beats all of the dead beat dads or parents that spend no time at all with thier kids.

  5. lol I have done that before and I am a mom. Babies like to sleep snuggled up next to another human so that is just one way to get some you time in, I think I have a pic somewhere too of my ex doing that with our son while playing PS2 lol

  7. I see zero wrong with this photo. The child is content and sleeping. What would you like dad to do? Wall stare? I applaud this guy (I’m assuming it’s the dad and not an uncle or something) for taking care of the baby while mom is doing something else. Lord knows the mom can use the break or twenty in the first few weeks.

  9. Nothing wrong here.

  11. Funny thing is that I don’t see anything wrong with this either. If the child wakes up wanting something, you can pause the game and get the child whatever he/she wants. Then it’s back to gaming. Like a boss ^_^

  13. I agree with all of the above. My son would not sleep alone in a crib for the first six months, so I spent a lot of time reading, on my laptop, gaming, etc with him laying on my chest.

  15. Kid’s asleep, who cares? Multi-tasking is the hallmark of any good parent.

  17. Looks like a dad or some other male relative bonding with a sweet sleeping baby.

  19. This is a familiar picture for me. When my daughter was an infant, she would snuggle up on her dad’s chest while he played Halo 3. It helped me get more accomplished since she slept better snuggled up to someone.

  21. nothing wrong here. this dad at least is helping tired momma so she can sleep, have adult time out and about. kudos to him and id do the same once baby is sleeping.

  23. Honestly, this isn’t even bad. He isn’t hurting his kid, and the kid is sleeping anyway.

  25. lol, my husband has done this with both kids

  27. The only reason this would be wrong is if the baby was awake and crying, indicating he needed something, and the dad ignored him and continued to play the game. If the baby’s asleep and wants to cuddle, that’s fine, just don’t drop him! But yeah, if he’s one of those parents that ignores as baby’s cries and keeps playing to the point where the kid dies of starvation or something, then yeah, there’s a problem.

  29. I do this with my daughter during nap time. Some days she’s cranky & won’t let me get housework done because she wants to be held. She lays on me & I play PS3 or Xbox.

  31. Thats really not even bad!…At all!

  33. if he needs changing, dad will be the 1st to know lol. kudos dad/uncle/good male role model.

  35. I do this all the time. Sometimes even when my daughter is awake in the morning. She lays on top of me drinking her bottle cheering for daddy. Nothing wrong here at all.

  37. Apparently this was sent in/ approved by a non-parent.

Kids eat up so much of your life you have to find ways to improvise if you want to have any type of existence for yourself at all….

  39. This is actually quite adorable. :)

  41. When my nephew was a few months old, I used to hold him like this while I played Castlevania. Apart from a drool mark on your shirt, no harm done.

  43. Cute:3 I’d have a baby with him ;)

  44. KJ on October 28th, 2011
  45. Nothing wrong with that. I used to do it all the time when my daughter was that small.

  46. Vernon on November 4th, 2011
  47. oh this is perfectly fine, the baby’s happily asleep. This is probably a rare opportunity for daddy to get in some “me time” xDD

  49. nothing wrong with this. my husband and i have both cuddled our sleeping kids while gaming and a friend of mine has some adorable pics of him holding his daughter while he games :p

  51. I actually have a picture similar to this of my husband sitting on the floor, holding our 2 week old son, while playing the Playstation (13 years ago!).. my son wasn’t quite as comfy and relaxed as this bub is lol

  52. CeeBee on November 13th, 2011
  53. That is completely adorable. He could just as well put that baby in his crib for a nap….but kept him on his chest.

    I love it.
