   You can actually learn a lot from old photos like these. Back when people had to work outside on the farm all day to survive they were smart enough to wear clothes that had long sleeves to protect them from the sun.
   Today we are “too cool” to do that so we have to cover our skin in chemicals so that the sun doesn’t harm our skin too much.

   Long sleeves also protects from scratches and cuts.

   Long sleeves weren’t just about protection it was about clothes that were multi-functional. You can wear those clothes in the winter, summer, spring, fall…doesn’t matter what was worn or when. People were too poor to affo.. OH FUCK IS THAT FREDDY KREUGER! OH SHIT OH SHIT OH SHIT OH SHIT!
