This is terrible. Seriously. I can’t stand seeing the cat like that, or any animal for that matter. This is much more disturbing than funny.

If there was any justice, the cat would have it’s paws wrapped around that chucky-doll-like brat’s neck…claws out. Poor thing…I hope it was okay. I would think even the cat haters would be disturbed by a helpless pet being treated like this.
Why would someone take a picture of that, as I’m sure that cat would turn around and claw that child… on the other hand, that would make that child learn quickly on how to treat an animal with respect.
The parents should get their heads examined and asses kicked for allowing their child to treat an animal like this. Whether you like cats or not isn’t the point – the point is not to cause pain or fear in small helpless animals. If behaviour like this isn’t stopped, it will only escalate.
I hope that poor little kitty sunk its claws in that kid! And no…I would not feel sorry for the little girl. She has to learn some way and obviously her “parents” aren’t going to teach her right from wrong. A few deep scratches won’t kill her…get her kitty!

I am a strong believer in animal rights, and have very little tolerance for kids that act like spoiled brats (or rather parents that let their kids act like that), so this really pisses me off. The stupid parents should get the poor cat out of their brat’s arms and give her a big swat on the butt. This is why many people can’t believe you need a license to drive a car but not be a parent.

come on people, a picture is a split second in time, we have all seen pictures that totaly misrepresented the actual event, for all we know the child might have been holding the cat and it started to fall just as the picture was snaped, and the cat droped a split second after. the picture is funny, and those of you who wish evil on the child are the true evil ones, the kid is not old enough to know better, but we are in the abortion generation so I guess the kids don’t matter, just cats.

I agree with Vic, it is just a second in time. Who knows, there might have been someone out of the frame reaching to get the kitten as the little girl was losing her grip. I’ve had cats most of my life and sometimes little kids pick them up wrong, they don’t know any better. Cats are resiliant, I’m sure this one is ok.

folks, u have to realize that cats can squeez under a 2 inch door clearing. yes it looks cruel but in all actuality its not that bad. Im not justifying it but look into it…cats can handle this kind of thig…think of how they are moved as kittens (this one is probably all of 6 months).

However, what I have noticed throughout my sad pathetic cat hating life is that cats are attracted to abuse. I’m allergic to cats so in order to try to keep them away from me I used to do moderately abusive things to drive them away. That doesn’t work as the more I would abuse them the more they would come back for more. I did not grow up just thinking cats were stupid, they actually proved it to me over and over.
