THE HALLOWEEN CANDY

I have to say that this is pretty cruel considering how cute these kids are. That doesn’t mean that I didn’t laugh out loud at how the kids reacted!

  1. I would so do this to both of my children! It’s mean, but its cheap entertainment!

  3. Ok, it was a bit of a mean trick to play, but I was really impressed with how well the kids took it. No screaming or crying and they settled right down when asked. I would say this Mom is doing a fine job of raising her kids.

  9. They were probably calm and collectED about it because the kid said, “You always trick us.” So it isn’t the first time this mom has thought it would be funny to be psychologically cruel to her children

  13. I love how the eldest one said “If you had asked, I’d have let you have it.” Those are awesome kids.

  17. Those kids are so dang cute! I see no harm in teasing kids like this. They obviously took it well and probably will take teasing from others much better than other kids. They are such sweet boys. : )

  19. The oldest boy is so cute. He’s a real thinker and I can see him becoming a great dad someday. He seemed more adult than mom when he thought she did something wrong. He’s a real cutie.

I did something like this when my son was about 7. We had a CB radio in the car and he was listening to the radio on the front porch of his grandmoms. If you spoke into the CB it would come across on the radio (bleed over). I announced that “WE HAVE A WINNER!!! R…. M…. JR JUST WON $5000!!!” You should have seen his face! He went crazy…then he had to be told we tricked him. To this day I never tricked him again. He was so disheartened that I still feel guilty. He thinks it’s funny now that he’s grown, but I still feel horrible knowing I did it to him and his disappointment afterward.

I don’t find those “Lottery winning” joke tickets funny for the same reason.

However, these tykes took it great…and it was funny…but a little mean too..lol

  21. The older kid was probably thinking, “Wow Mom, you’re such a disappointment.” That’s what his face looked like.
